  11. Enjoy pie with chilled ice-cream (We prefer simple vanilla ice-cream along with the apple pie)

Recipe Notes

What to do if the edges of the pie are browning too quickly?

Cut a 3 inches circle out of the centre of a square sheet of foil and loosely place with the dull-side down over the top of your pie. The foil will protect the pie from becoming brown.

Do we need cold butter and chilled water only?

Yes. A pie crust comes out flaky and crispy only when the butter and water are cold to bring the dough together.
