Creamy Makhani Maggi

Maggi is LOVE! When I say this I know Maggi isn’t just another food but it is an emotion. It brings back childhood memories where instant noodles used to a perfect escape for the kids from dal and veggies. I still remember getting maggi as a gift when I score well or achieve something at school. Mom used to make these yummy variations of instant noodles, that no one can beat or match.

Instant noodles and maggi have a huge fan following. From kids to adults, every one loves to dive into this bowl of goodness. I am sucha huge fan of maggi and instant noodles myself. Even today, I can gladly eat Maggi for breakfast.

If you have grown up eating maggi just like me, you must have experimented too. Everyone has their own wonderful and yummy versions of maggi. This one is mine.

The Creamy makhani maggi tastes just like butter paneer and butter chicken. It is a super delish version of instant maggi noodles that is super creamy with hints of indian spices and tanginess from tomatoes. I had to share this version of my experiment with instant maggi noodles.

Indulging in instant maggi noodles isn’t unhealthy at all. πŸ˜‰ In fact, it is almost equal to taking a bite of the good old chocolate cake.

Creamy Makhani Maggi

Try this super creamy and rich makhani maggi that is flavoured using Indian spices, tomatoes and heavy cream.

  • 1 tbsp Butter/Ghee (You can use oil too, ghee or butter gives a better taste.)
  • 1 cup Onions (Chopped)
  • 1 Green Chilly (Chopped)
  • 1 cup Capsicum (Chopped)
  • 1 cup Tomatoes (Chopped)
  • Salt according to taste
  • 1/3 cup Water
  • 3 Packets Maggi with maggi masala
  • 1 tspn Chilli flakes (Optionl)
  • 2 tspn Heavy Cream
  • Water to cook the maggi


  1. Start by heating butter in the skillet or non-stick pan

  2. Add chopped onions when the butter becomes hot

  3. Add green chilli and capsicum

  4. Cook till the onion, green chilli and caspicum are almost cooked but crunchy

  5. Add the tomatoes and cook till they become mushy

  6. Add salt according to your taste (This is also to cook the tomato quickly)

  7. Add a little water to cook the vegetabke together

  8. It's time to open the maggi packets and add the maggi masala alone. (Not the noodles)

  9. Cook till fragrant!

  10. Add Chilli flakes and mix

  11. Add the heavy cream or fresh cream, whichever is available at home

  12. Mix well and add more water. (This time to cook the noodles)

  13. Add the ibstant maggi noodles

  14. Cook till done. (I cooked till the maggi looked super creamy and rich)

  15. Enjoy with eggs or Garlic Bread , whatever you like.
